We can use probability to make smart predictions about what might happen! Today weโ€™ll practice predicting outcomes using coins, dice, spinners, and real-life situations.

1. Theoretical Probability (What Should Happen)

Probability = Number of favourable outcomes รท Total possible outcomes

Example: Flipping a coin โ†’ Probability of Heads = 1/2
So if we flip 10 times, we predict about 5 heads.

2. Experimental Probability (What Actually Happens)

We do the experiment many times and record the results. The more trials we do, the closer our results get to the theoretical probability.

You roll a fair 6-sided die 30 times. How many times do you predict it will land on 4?
