1. Words We Use for Probability

Impossible

Certain

We can also use numbers:
0 = Impossible → 1 = Certain

2. Simple Probability

Probability = Number of favourable outcomes ÷ Total possible outcomes

Example: Flipping a coin → Probability of Heads = 1/2 = 0.5 = 50%

3. Everyday Examples

🎲 Rolling a 6 on a dice → 1 out of 6 → 1/6
❤️ Picking a red card from a deck → 26 out of 52 → 1/2
☀️ It will snow in July in Ontario → Impossible (0)
🌍 The sun will rise tomorrow → Certain (1)
