1. What is the Cartesian Plane?

The Cartesian Plane is a flat surface with two lines that cross at right angles:
• X-axis — horizontal (left & right)
• Y-axis — vertical (up & down)

They meet at the Origin (0,0)

(3, 4) means:
Go 3 units right on X-axis, then 4 units up on Y-axis
