Today we’re learning all about angles! We will discover different types of angles, how to measure them with a protractor, and how to construct them. Angles are everywhere — in shapes, buildings, and even when you open a door! Let’s become Angle Masters together! 📐✨

1. Types of Angles

Acute Angle
Less than 90°

Right Angle
Exactly 90°

Obtuse Angle
Between 90° and 180°

Straight Angle
Exactly 180°

2. How to Measure an Angle with a Protractor

🧭
  1. Place the center hole of the protractor on the vertex (corner) of the angle
  2. Line up the zero line with one side of the angle
  3. Read the number where the other side crosses the protractor

Tip: Always use the scale that starts from 0 on the side you are measuring!

3. Special Angle Pairs

Complementary Angles

Add up to 90°

30° + 60° = 90°

Supplementary Angles

Add up to 180°

110° + 70° = 180°

4. How to Construct Angles

Steps to draw a 60° angle:

1. Draw a straight line with a ruler
2. Place protractor center on one end
3. Mark 60° on the scale
4. Draw a line from the vertex to your mark
