A simple budget has 3 parts:

  • Income β†’ Money coming in
  • Expenses β†’ Money going out
  • Savings β†’ Money you keep for later

Rule: Income = Expenses + Savings

Income: $15 allowance

Expenses:
β€’ Snacks = $4
β€’ School supplies = $3
Total Expenses = $7

Savings: $8

15 = 7 + 8 βœ“
