Hello my wonderful Grade 5 superstar! 👋
I'm Kashef and today we're learning how to Compare Volumes! We can compare how much space different 3D shapes hold by counting cubic units or using the volume formula. Ready to be a volume detective? Let’s go! 🚀
🧠 How to Compare Volumes
1. Use the same unit (cm³ or m³)
2. Count the cubic units or calculate with formula
3. Compare the numbers (bigger number = bigger volume)
🔍 Visual Comparison
Prism A: 4 × 3 × 2 = 24 cubic units
Prism B: 5 × 3 × 2 = 30 cubic units
Prism B is bigger!
🎯 Let’s Compare Volumes!
1. Box A: 6×4×3 = 72 cm³
Box B: 5×5×3 = 75 cm³
Which has more volume?
2. Prism C: 8×3×2 = 48 cm³
Prism D: length 10, width 2, height 3 = ?
3. Which holds more: a 4×4×4 cube or a 6×4×2 box?
6×4×2 = 48 cm³ → The cube holds more
🌍 Comparing Volumes in Real Life
