I'm Kashef and today we're learning how to Estimate Measurements! An estimate is a smart guess. We estimate when we don't have a ruler or scale, or when we just need to know "about how much." 🧠 What is an Estimate?

An estimate is a reasonable guess based on what you already know.

It is NOT a wild guess — it uses benchmarks (things you know the size of).

📏 Helpful Benchmarks

Your little fingernail ≈ 1 cm wide

Your hand span (thumb to pinky) ≈ 20 cm

Your forearm ≈ 30–40 cm

A door is about 2 metres tall

A litre of milk ≈ 1 kg

A large apple ≈ 200 g
