A survey is a set of questions you ask many people to collect information. The answers become your data!

Good surveys help us answer questions like:

What is our class's favorite sport?
How do students get to school?

Good: "What is your favorite fruit?"
(Easy to answer, clear choices)

Bad: "Do you like the best fruit ever which is obviously apples or not?"
(Leads people to one answer)
