🧠 The Rule: Brackets First!

Always do what’s inside the brackets first!

3 + (4 × 5) = 3 + 20 = 23

(3 + 4) × 5 = 7 × 5 = 35

✍️ Examples

Example 1: 20 - (6 + 3) = ?

20 - 9 = 11

Example 2: (15 + 9) ÷ 3 = ?

24 ÷ 3 = 8

Example 3: 5 × (8 - 2) + 4 = ?

5 × 6 = 30 → 30 + 4 = 34
