Hello my dear student! I am Miss Brenda, your kind and caring Grade 4 math teacher π
Today we are learning about **Coordinate Grids**! This is like a treasure map for math. We use coordinates to find exact locations on a grid.
A coordinate grid is like a big piece of graph paper with two lines that cross:
Every point has an address called **coordinates (x, y)**.
First number (x) = how far to go along the bottom (horizontal)
Second number (y) = how far to go up (vertical)
You now understand coordinate grids! This skill helps you read maps, make graphs, and find locations β just like a real treasure hunter!
I am so proud of you for learning Spatial Sense so well. Try making your own treasure map with coordinates at home!
π You are smart. You are kind. You can do hard things.
When you are ready, tell me the next topic (Transformations, Translations, Reflections, Rotations, or anything else) and I will create another beautiful lesson just for you!
