A pyramid is a 3D shape that has:
- A flat **polygon base** (bottom)
- Triangular faces that meet at a single point called the **apex** (top)
The name of the pyramid comes from the shape of its base.

1. Triangular Pyramid (Tetrahedron)
Base is a triangle β 4 triangular faces total
2. Square Pyramid
Base is a square β 4 triangular faces + 1 square base
3. Pentagonal Pyramid
Base is a pentagon β 5 triangular faces + 1 pentagon base

- Number of faces = number of sides of the base + 1
- Number of edges = number of sides of the base Γ 2
- Number of vertices = number of sides of the base + 1
Square Pyramid Example:
