📅 What is a Calendar?
A calendar is a chart that shows the days, weeks, and months of the year. In Canada we use the Gregorian calendar.
🌍 Months of the Year
12 Months:
January (31) February (28 or 29) March (31)
April (30) May (31) June (30)
July (31) August (31) September (30)
October (31) November (30) December (31)
Trick to remember days in each month:
“30 days has September, April, June and November. All the rest have 31, except February alone…”

2. February has 28 days in a normal year. How many weeks and extra days is that?

Practice 3: Word Problems (Canadian Style)
1. Summer vacation starts on June 28 and ends on September 1. How many days is summer vacation?
66 days (count carefully!)
2. Your birthday is on October 15. Today is October 3. How many days until your birthday?
12 days
Challenge Question
A month has 31 days and starts on a Friday. What date is the last Friday of that month?
31st (because 31 days = 4 weeks + 3 days, Friday + 3 = Monday? Wait — let's count: 1st=Friday, 8=Friday, 15=Friday, 22=Friday, 29=Friday → 31 is Sunday)
