Hello my dear student! I am Miss Brenda, your kind and caring Grade 4 math teacher π
Today we are learning how to put decimals in order β from smallest to biggest (ascending) or biggest to smallest (descending). This is very useful for money, heights, and sports records!
1. Line up all the decimal points.
2. Add zeros so all numbers have the same number of decimal places.
3. Compare digit by digit, starting from the left (just like whole numbers).
You are now excellent at ordering decimals! This skill helps you with money, measurement, sports scores, and many real-life situations.
I am so proud of how confidently you are working with decimals. Keep practising by ordering prices when you go shopping!
π You are smart. You are kind. You can do hard things.
When you are ready, tell me the next topic (Decimal Money Connections or anything else from the syllabus) and I will create another beautiful lesson just for you!
