Hello my fair and thoughtful Grade 3 friends! Today Miss Kashef will teach you how to use simple probability to decide if a game is fair or biased. This helps us make sure everyone has an equal chance to win!
What Makes a Game Fair?
A game is fair when every player has the same chance of winning.

Fair Coin Toss

If one colour takes most of the space

Dice Game Example
Roll a dice. If you get 1, 2, or 3 → Player A wins
If you get 4, 5, or 6 → Player B wins
This game is fair!
Checking Fairness
Count the chances for each player
If chances are equal → Fair
If one player has more chance → Biased (unfair)
Real Game Examples
Rock-Paper-Scissors (usually fair)
A spinner with 1 big red section
Dice game with equal numbers
