1. What is a Concrete Graph? 🧱

A **concrete graph** is a graph made with **real objects** instead of pictures or numbers.

We line up or stack real things (like linking cubes, toys, or blocks) to show information.

4. How to Read a Concrete Graph 🔍

1. Look at what the graph is about (title)
2. Look at each group of objects
3. Count how many objects are in each group
4. Compare: Which group has the most? The least?
5. Ask questions: “How many children walk to school?”

5. Fun Activities to Practice 🎲

  • Use linking cubes to make a concrete graph of favourite colours.
  • Use small toys to show how we come to school.
  • Sort and graph the types of shoes in the classroom.
  • Make a graph of favourite snacks using real snack boxes or pictures.
  • Build a concrete graph with blocks and ask your friend questions about it.
  • Compare two groups: “Which pile has more cubes?”
