Hello my wonderful Grade 1 superstars! ❤️

Today we will learn:
• The 7 days of the week
• The 12 months of the year
• Morning, afternoon, evening, and night
• Telling time to the hour (o’clock)
• How to use a calendar and daily schedule

1. Days of the Week 📅

Monday
Tuesday
Wednesday
Thursday
Friday
Saturday
Sunday

We have school on Monday to Friday.
Saturday and Sunday are weekend days – time to play and rest! 🎉

2. Months of the Year 🗓️

January • February • March • April • May • June
July • August • September • October • November • December

We have 12 months in one year.
My birthday is in ___________ month.

3. Parts of the Day 🌞🌙

Morning → We wake up, eat breakfast, and go to school ☀️

Afternoon → After lunch, we play and learn more

Evening → Time for dinner and family

Night → Time to sleep 🌙

4. Telling Time to the Hour

The big hand points to 12 and the little hand points to a number.

• 7:00 → Seven o’clock (time to wake up!)
• 12:00 → Twelve o’clock (lunch time!)
• 3:00 → Three o’clock (time to play!)
• 8:00 → Eight o’clock (bedtime!)

5. Fun Activities to Practice 🎲

  • Sing the “Days of the Week” song every morning.
  • Make your own calendar and colour today’s date.
  • Draw pictures for Morning, Afternoon, Evening, and Night.
  • Play “What time is it?” with a toy clock (to the hour only).
  • Tell your daily schedule: “First I wake up at 7 o’clock, then…”
  • Find the month of your birthday on the calendar.
