Non-standard units are things we use to measure that are not a ruler or tape measure.
Examples we can use:

How long is your desk?

My desk is 10 cubes long!
How long is your favourite book?

The book is 7 paper clips long.
How tall are you?
ππππππ
I am 6 shoes tall!
If you measure your pencil with cubes today, you must use cubes again tomorrow.
Why? So your measurement is fair and the same every time!
The teacherβs desk is longer than my desk.
Teacherβs desk = 15 cubes
My desk = 10 cubes
15 > 10 β Teacherβs desk is longer!
My shoe is shorter than dadβs shoe.
My shoe = 8 paper clips
Dadβs shoe = 12 paper clips
